PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shoulder hanging type percussion instrument holder of a structure capable of maintaining the stable posture of a player during waling or marching and preventing the generation of an oppression or other harmful forces to the lower side of the player's shoulder and back. SOLUTION: A drum supporting device and a drum to be fixed thereon are preferably supported at a vest type percussion instrument holder or a T-shaped percussion instrument holder having a plurality of separated members which are formed of light metals, such as, for example, magnesium, aluminum or titanium, or lightweight and rigid materials, such as plastics, and are attachable and detachable to and from each other. The percussion instrument holder has a vest or belly pad, shoulder straps and back pad members. The shoulder straps are attachably and detachably and/or adjustably assembled. Perpendicular supporting rods are hollow or tubular structures. The shoulder straps, the belly pad member and other segments requiring protection can be provided with special pads. This device is freely adjustable.
