PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a modified asphalt composition for road pavement in which the homogeneity of the mixing of a modifier and asphalt is superior and the phase separation is restrained. SOLUTION: The composition contains asphalt, a rubber and/or a thermoplastic elastomer, a mineral oil, and a phenyl ether type compound having a specific substituent.
