PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of a sudden start in the travelling operation of a small-sized snow removing machine, to easily operate the snow removing machine even by inexperienced persons to the operation of the snow removing machine and the aged and womankind and to improve the safety of snow- removing works. SOLUTION: In the small-sized snow removing machine on which a non-stage transmission is mounted, a speed change lever interlocked with a speed-change mechanism for the non-stage transmission is installed, a neutral-place forced return mechanism is secured to the speed-change mechanism or the speed change lever for the non-stage transmission, a holding means capable of being held at an arbitrary speed-change position is set up to the speed change lever, the holding means and a travelling clutch are connected and the holding power of the holding means is released when the travelling clutch is disconnected, and the speed-change place of the speed change lever is returned at a neutral position.
