PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To select and designate desired item information with a remarkably simple operation with respect to an information screen having items extending upward/ downward/right/left such as a WEB screen in the electronic equipment of a portable terminal being an information equipment which a user can grasp and operate by one hand. SOLUTION: Upper/lower tact switches SK and SJ performing a detection operation by the upward/downward operation of a multi-push control key 12, right/left tact switches SL and SR performing the detection operation by a right/left operation and a center tact switch SC performing the detection operation by a push operation are arranged. When the screen having the selection item extending upward/downward/right/left such as a WEB page is to be displayed, the row of the items in right/left direction is block-divided. The upper/lower blocks are scrolled and displayed at every item and the right/left blocks are scrolled and displayed at every block with the operation of the control key 12 is upward/downward/right/left directions. Item designation display by a cursor Q is selectively moved to the arbitrary item with the upward/downward/ right/left operation while the push operation is performed. The designated item is link-set by push-release.
