PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a running-condition estimation device which can estimate the running condition of a vehicle, when the vehicle is run next, to provide a route setting device which is based on its estimated result, and to provide a navigation system. SOLUTION: When the navigation system acquires congestion information from a VICS, it counts the number of times of a VICS reception, and it counts the number of times of the congestion of a link corresponding to a congested road. The navigation system grasps the position of the vehicle on the basis of information acquired from a position detection part, calculates the link passage time of each link, in which the vehicle is run in the basis of the position of the vehicle, and adds the passage time to the total link passage time to be recorded. At the same time, the navigation system counts the number of times of the passage of the link. A control unit calculates the average link passage time, on the basis of a counted result, it estimates the link passage time when the vehicle is run next, and it calculates the traveling time up to a destination. The control unit grasps the congestion rate of the road on the basis of the number of times of the congestion, so as to guide the existence of a road which might be congested. |
