PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce costs by controlling the capacity of a compressor without installing a pressure sensor. SOLUTION: A refrigeration system comprises an outdoor unit composed of a variable displacement outdoor compressor (21) and an outdoor heat exchanger (22) and a refrigerating unit (30) composed of an expansion valve (31) and a refrigerating heat exchanger (32). A low-pressure pressure-switch (52) for detecting low-pressure refrigerant pressure at a suction side of the compressor (21) is provided. A lowering control section (71) makes a control of lowering the capacity of the compressor (21) when the compressor (21) is restarted after an interruption of the compressor (21). A raising control section (72) makes a control of raising the capacity of the compressor (21) when the compressor (21) is operated at a constant capacity continuously for a predetermined time.
