PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform the operational processing of the concentration of ammoniacal nitrogen by detecting accurate base line voltage and peak voltage. SOLUTION: A flow channel changeover three-way valve 23 capable of selectively injecting a sample solution and neutral water is used. When the pH of the sample solution becomes high, at first, neutral water is allowed to flow down through the three-way valve 23 to drop detection voltage to base line voltage and the base line voltage is recorded by a control unit 22. Thereafter, a reagent solution is injected by a reagent solution injection part 24 and the peak voltage in detection voltage is recorded by the control unit 22. The operational processing of the concentration of ammoniacal nitrogen is performed using the base line voltage and the peak voltage.
