PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shelf board support device for a high load which is especially used for a shelf used in a dilling rule, on which a monitor screen is laid, can change a shelf board into a horizontal posture or a front-down tilting posture, and has simple structure and high strength and is easily handled. SOLUTION: Right and left brackets with horizontally projected shelf board laying faces on the upper end faces are symmetrically formed on this shelf board support device. The shelf board has a horizontal shelf board support face with width equal to or slightly larger than the width of the shelf board laying face on the lower face inside the right and left end parts of the shelf board and a tilt shelf board support face downward tilted from to rear positioned inside the horizontal shelf board face.
