PURPOSE: A process for separating unwanted components from a raw butynediol solution through an one-step method is provided. CONSTITUTION: The process for separating unwanted components including acetylene, formaldehyde or propargyl alcohol from the raw butynediol solution extracted from the process for synthesizing butynediol is characterized in that the unwanted components are separated through a hot steam stripping step wherein the water steam supplied to the hot steam stripping step has the temperature ranged from 105 to 140 deg.C and the pressure ranged from 1.2 to 1.5 bars.
