A process controlling part 5 applies AC voltage from a power source for electrophoresis to concentrate plural kinds of microorganisms, supplies the antibody liquid from the antibody liquid tank 19 to cause a specific reaction with a specific microorganism to effect the agglomeration of the microorganism and the separation from the other microorganisms, calculates the number of microorganisms from the change of conductance between the electrodes 2a, 2b measured by a measuring part 4 and outputs the calculation result.
