PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent damage of Meristotheca papulosa liable to occur especially by a high temperature and typhoon formation during a summer season since the supply of Meristotheca papulosa being a marine alga usable as a foodstuff is entirely provided by natural Meristotheca papulosa, its collection quantity reaches the limit and can not satisfy a demand. SOLUTION: This method for Meristotheca papulosa farming comprises attaching spores of Meristotheca papulosa to a farming nursery bed such as a net basket in a water tank charged with seawater filtered in a release period of spores of Meristotheca papulosa, installing the farming nursery bed in the sea, deepening the depth of the farming nursery bed during a summer reason and shallowing the depth in the next spring. Damage of Meristotheca papulosa by high temperature and typhoon during a summer reason is avoided and Meristotheca papulosa farming is actualized by the method.
