PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a balloon catheter which can recognize an expanding state of a main balloon in a human body from the expanding state of a pilot balloon by a visual observation and which is high safe. SOLUTION: The balloon catheter comprises the main balloon, the pilot balloon having the same elasticity as that of the main balloon and airtightly connected to the main balloon in such a manner that the expanding state of the pilot balloon is substantially proportional to that of the main balloon and the structure of the main balloon is substantially the same as that of the pilot balloon, and a pilot balloon assembly (on expanding state sensor) for sensing the expanding state of the main balloon of the catheter. |
