PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a comfortable carpet flooring which gives no damp feeling and prevents growth of molds, bacteria and features deodorant effect, although the carpet is made of a low hygroscopic synthetic fiber. SOLUTION: The carpet for flooring comprises the low hygroscopic synthetic fiber as the main body, featuring a layer of packing martial that works as an excellent moisture absorbent and releaser, antibacterial and deodorant with the layer of packing material, having organic micro particles that work as the excellent moisture absorbent and releaser, in which the quantity of the organic particles to be added is advisably between 10-100 g/m<2> . It is also the carpet for flooring made by a conversion into a carboxyl group and salt-type carboxyl group through hydrolysis of nitrile group of the polymer of a cross- linked acrylonitrile system, in which the organic micro particles with the excellent moisture absorbency and release, antibacterial and deodorant effect introduce a cross-linked structure to the polymer of the acrylonitrile system, having more than 1.0 mmol/g of the carboxyl group and the salt-type carboxyl group.
