LOCKING MECHANISM FOR HEADREST

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a locking mechanism for a headrest which prevents the head rest from coming out from a seat back and enables the head rest to be detached from the seat back when the seat is not used and whose number of part items can be reduced. SOLUTION: This locking mechanism for a headrest is constituted of a locking groove (10) equipped with a coming-out preventing mechanism to prevent coming-out of a headrest from a seatback onto a stay (1) and an almost U-shape locking spring (23) to engage with the locking groove (10). The locking spring (23) is mounted on a holder (2) which has a tool inserting hole (26) for pressing the locking spring (23) toward the lock releasing direction by a tool (T).
