PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic waste treatment apparatus which hardly sludges organic wastes having a high moisture content even when such organic wastes are fed into the apparatus. SOLUTION: The organic wastes treatment apparatus which subjects the organic wastes fed into a fermentation treatment tank 2 from a feeding port 1 to agitation and fermentation treatment by rotating an agitating shaft 7 having a plurality of spirally arranged agitating arms 6 back and forth at every prescribed time and discharges compost is characterized in that the spiral direction of a plurality of the agitating arms on a middle side among a plurality of the agitating arms is reverse from the spiral direction of a plurality of the agitating arms on both sides.
