摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an optimum color contrast by subjecting color pixel signals to pseudo dyestuff spraying corresponding to a change in the space frequency within one frame with an electronic endoscopic apparatus. SOLUTION: The distal end of a scope 10 is provided with an imaging sensor 14 and a processor 100 successively reads red pixel signals, green pixel signals and blue pixel signals for one frame component out of this imaging sensor 14. When the signal level values of the specific pixels are lower than the average signal level values of the ambient pixels, a pseudo dyestuff spraying processing circuit 130 of the processor 100 lowers the signal level values of the red and green pixel signals relating to the specific pixels and increase the signal level values of the blue pixel signals, thereby emphasizing the blue component. When enlargement zooming is performed by a control panel 118, a system control circuit 150 parts the distances of the ambient pixels to the specific pixels and changes the color balance to the adequate color balance on judging that the space frequency lowers.
