PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary drill for digging a sprue of a mold capable of almost eliminating deposition of molding sand to a sprue side wall face which is caused when a horizontally long spure is dug in a green sand mold. SOLUTION: When blade parts 3 and 3 are mounted on side faces of a drill body 1 in the drill body 1, the blade parts 3 and 3 are mounted in a state that a clearance angle 5 is formed with respect to the drill rotating direction 4.
