PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical material having radiation-resistant properties so that the sterilization of surgical suture made of polymer materials and medical instruments can be performed by irradiating with radiation such as gamma rays or electron beams. SOLUTION: Prior to a molding medical materials, 0.01-20 pts.wt. preferably 0.1-10 pts.wt. of triallyl isocyanurate, or a reactive monomer is added to the polymer. The sterilization of a surgical suture and medical instruments can be performed by irradiating the medical materials with 10-50k Gy radiation. |
