PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for measuring movement of a golf ball or a golf club by which waggle and swing can be automatically discriminated. SOLUTION: The apparatus 1 is provided with a perceiving part 3, a photographing part 5 and a controlling part 7. The perceiving part 3 is provided with the first emitting part 17, the first receiving part 19, the second emitting part 21 and the second receiving part 23. The first laser beam 25 is emitted from the first emitting part 17 toward the first receiving part 19 and the second laser beam 27 is emitted from the second emitting part 21 toward the second receiving part 23. In the photographing part 5, a CCD camera 29, a pair of right side stroboscopes 31 and a pair of left side stroboscopes 33 are built. Only time from the time when the first laser beam 25 is shaded to the time when the second laser beam 27 is shaded is shorter than a threshold value set in the controlling part 7, photographing of the golf ball 15 is performed by means of the photographing part 5.
