PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cord lock which can fix two strings at a specific position and also fix itself at the specific position. SOLUTION: This cord lock is constituted of a housing (41) and a slider (43) which is energized by a spring (42) and is slidable in the housing (41). The housing (41) and the slider (43) commonly have through holes (46, 47). A male screw (49) is equipped on the bottom part of the cord lock. It is preferable for the male screw (49) to have a size matching to fit a tripod fixing female screw equipped on the bottom part of a camera. Ridges (50) are preferably equipped on the outside face of the housing (41) of the cord lock to make the male screw (49) easily screwed into the female screw.
