PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the efficiency of keeping warmth in a rice cooker by heating a pot installed freely attachably or detachably in the rice cooker body without discharging the heat from the flange part of the pot to the outside during cooking, reducing the consumption of electric power and preventing rice to discolor to yellow or to dry or to become sodden in the pot rice is kept warm while keeping rice warm. SOLUTION: The rice cooker is characterized by heating the pot 11 installed freely attachably or detachably in the rice cooker body 12 by the heating coil 27, covering the upper open mouth par of the rice cooker body 12 with a lid part 16 which is freely openably or shuttably pivoted, covering the upper open mouth part of the pot 11 by equipping the first seal lid 18 with a packing 21 freely attachably or detachably under the lid part 16 and installing the second seal lid 23 with a packing 28 at the outside of the first seal lid 18 in being separated from the firs seal lid 18. The second seal lid 23 is formed so as to intercept the rice cooker body 12 from open air inside a joint part 25 connecting with the lid part 16 and the rice cooker body 12.
