PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illuminator for a game machine and the game machine by which maintainability is improved. SOLUTION: The illuminator is provided with a fluorescent tube 36 for irradiating an upper design panel 24 provided on the side of the front face of a front door 12 for a slot machine from rear side. On the side of the rear face of the door 12, a reflection panel 35 fitted with the tube 36 is supported in the state of openable/closable and rotatable between a close set position where a fixation piece 41 at the tip of the panel 35 is screwed and fixed to a second fixing plate 34 and an open supporting position where the panel 35 is opened to a position where the screw is removed and the tube 36 can be removed. Consequently, by opening and rotating the panel 35 to the open supporting position, maintenance such as the exchanging work, etc., of the tube 36 is simplified.
