PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the washing efficiency of a washing apparatus for a pellet abrasive. SOLUTION: This washing apparatus is constituted so that a large quantity of pellets are put into a large-volume washing tank 3 and washed with washing water while the pellets are circulated forcibly together with the washing water by an air lift 5 by abolishing the washing bucket used in the conventional apparatus when the pellet to be washed is put in/out of the washing tank. The tank 3 is partitioned into a washing chamber 3a and a washing spare chamber 3b by an inverted cone-shaped partition plate part 9. The lift 5 is erected in the central part of the chamber 3a. The washing water and pellets filled until the specified water level are circulated forcibly in the tank 3 by supplying high pressure air into the lift 5 from an air supplying port 5b. After the washing and rinsing steps are completed, the pellets accumulated in the chamber 3a are dried by supplying warm air from a warm air supplying port 3d.
