METHOD FOR RETROSPECTIVELY CORRECTING INHOMOGENEITY IN RADIOGRAPH

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct a digital image in respect to an artifact. SOLUTION: Several methods for retrospectively correcting the inhomogeneities density in a digital diagnostic radiographic images are presented. The methods are based on the correction of a digital image representation by means of a bias field, which is deduced from the digital image representation of the diagnostic radiation image.
