<p>The engine has an exhaust train (6) with particle filter (12), which is regenerated on demand by a control device (18). A catalytic element (11), e.g. oxidation catalyst, and a temperature sensor (16,19) are located in the exhaust train upstream of the particle filter. The sensor is connected to the control device and determines an actual temperature value. The control device actuates a fuel injection device (22) to carry-out after-injections for regeneration of the particle filter. The control compares the actual value to a reference value, and actuates the fuel injector accordingly.</p> |
