PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool for cutting housing materials capable of easily performing the work of cutting the housing materials by preventing the movement of engaging parts when cutting the housing materials and facilitating the cutting work by omitting work for preventing the movement of the engaging parts. SOLUTION: The cutting tool 10 is provided with a fixing handle 12 provided with a mounting part 11 on a tip side, a cutting blade 14 pivoted at the fixed handle 12, and a movable handle 15 for moving the cutting blade 14 in a scissorlike manner. The cutting tool 10 is provided with first and second engaging parts capable of engaging with part of one side edge of a molding 17 of various sizes extended in its longitudinal direction when cutting the molding 17 to prevent the movement of the molding 17 to the tip side of the mounting part 11 and enable cutting by the base end side of the cutting blade 14. The second engaging part is formed of a multilevel part 18b formed between the other edge of a rotary body 18 rotated above the mounting part 11 and the upper surface of the mounting part 11.
