PURPOSE: A method for controlling the volume of a computer by using a mouse is provided to make a user promptly cope with a situation to decrease the volume and to prevent the disturbance with other people by using the mouse having a volume control unit. CONSTITUTION: A computer is started(st1). Such operating system as the Window 95 is run(st2). A volume control program for controlling such volume control units as a wheel or a button is installed(st3). The volume control unit is controlled upwardly and downwardly, or outputs a volume control command directly depending on the operating method of the volume control unit(st4). If the volume is controlled corresponding to the desire of the user(st5), the sound is outputted at the controlled volume(st6). If the user fails to control the volume, the repeated input of the user is waited. |
