PURPOSE: To provide a device carrier and an autohandler, which can measure the characteristics of a device stably, with accuracy. CONSTITUTION: The device carrier 1 brings a plurality of terminals B provided on the lower surface of an IC into contact with contactors 12 provided in an IC socket 10, while the carrier 1 holds the IC; the carrier 1 is provided with an opening K, through which the IC can be passed, support sections K installed to the opening K to support the lower surface of the IC, and hinge sections 5 which rotatably support the supporting sections 4; and since the supporting sections 4 approach the socket 10, the sections 4 are engaged with opening pins 15 and rotate, the release the lower surface of the IC. The released IC, passes through the opening K and is placed on the socket 10.
