PURPOSE: A system for providing position association information using a keyword name and a method therefor are provided to easily and quickly offer various position association information which a user wants to search by inputting real searching position association information as the keyword name without connecting to a corresponding web page in the case of receiving position association information through a network. CONSTITUTION: An area information DB(112) stores a plurality of area information matched with keyword names according to areas. A map information DB(113) stores map and rough map information according to areas. A web server(12) has a position discriminating unit(122) for discriminating the position of a client, and an information providing unit(123) for providing position information provided from the position discriminating unit(122) to the client in case that a connection word inputted from the client is a keyword name and the keyword name is a keyword name for requesting position information.
