PURPOSE: A process for preparing an antismoking agent using herbal medicines such as ginseng, Hoelen, Gallnut, Crataegi Fructus, aloe or the like is provided. Whereby, the product causes to remove phlegm and cough on the first or the second day following administration thereof, then to be organoleptically unpalatable on the third day thereof, to reject nicotine on the fourth day and to absolutely remove the desire to smoke a cigarette. CONSTITUTION: The antismoking agent comprises 1.5 to 3% by weight of ginseng, 2 to 4% by weight of Hoelen, 2 to 3% by weight of Gallnut, 10 to 20% by weight of Crataegi Fructus, 15 to 30% by weight of aloe, 8 to 16% by weight of Glycyrrhizae Radix, 2 to 4% by weight of Adenophorae Radix, 8 to 16% by weight of Aurantii Nobilis Pericarpium, 4 to 8% by weight of Eucommiae Cortex, 5 to 10% by weight of Polygoni Multiflori Radix, 3 to 7% by weight of Schizandrae Fructus, 8 to 16% by weight of Persicae Semen and 2 to 6% by weight of Astragali Radix.
