PURPOSE: A method and device for controlling an output value of a driving unit in a starting step is provided to avoid the overshoot of rotational frequency by adjusting the starting step based on a target curve and to pre-set in a method that the overshoot of the rotational frequency is defined with keeping a starting safety. CONSTITUTION: A method and device for controlling an output value of a driving unit in a starting step is composed of a controller regulating the actual value of at least one output value to a desired value of the output value that is pre-set according to time. When at least one condition marking an entry into the starting step exists, the desired value of the output value is initialized with the actual value of the output value. An electronic control unit(10) for controlling the driving unit uses at least one input circuit(12), a computer unit(14), and an output circuit(16).
