PURPOSE: An optical transmission device of a burst mode in an optical transmission system is provided to have a bias control circuit in the optical transmission device, and to make biasing current of a laser diode flow at the last bit of a guard section in advance so as to normally transmit optical data. CONSTITUTION: A threshold current control circuit(8) supplies bias current to make bias current of a laser diode(7) over an excessive section before a first pulse signal of data is started at a last bit of a guard time in a burst mode, and cuts off bias current of the laser diode(7) at a last bit of a time slot. A data current generating circuit(9) applies current of upward data in a normal operation area of the laser diode(7) biased by the threshold current control circuit(8). A control logic part(10) analyzes PLOAM(Physical Layer Operations, Administration and Maintenance) signals received from an OLT(Optical Line Terminal)(2) to decide a transmission order, and controls functions of the threshold current control circuit(8) and the data current generating circuit(9) in a corresponding time slot to transmit upward data. And a transmitter buffer(11) buffers data inputted from a subscriber apparatus(5A-N) according to a data control signal of the control logic part(10). |
