PURPOSE: A high strength high ductility Cu-Ni-Mn-Sn-Zr-Cr alloy having high corrosion resistance to seawater to which Zr and Cr are added to produce a compound developing microstructure of the alloy and having superior corrosion resistance to seawater, and a manufacturing method thereof are provided. CONSTITUTION: In a high strength high ductility copper alloy having superior corrosion resistance to seawater, the Cu-Ni-Mn-Sn-Zr-Cr alloy having high corrosion resistance to seawater comprises 1.0 to 10.0 wt.% of Ni, 0.1 to 10.0 wt.% of Mn, 0.1 to 10.0 wt.% of Sn, 0.01 to 1.0 wt.% of one or more elements selected from the group consisting of Zr and Cr, and a balance of Cu. The method for manufacturing the Cu-Ni-Mn-Sn-Zr-Cr alloy having high corrosion resistance to seawater comprises the steps of weighing elements of the alloy in the above composition range; a fusion alloy step of fusing the agitated elements by agitating the elements injected into the melting furnace after injecting elements including Cu, Ni, Mn, Sn, Zr and Cr into a melting furnace; making an ingot by continuous casting or die casting the melted alloy elements into rods with a large diameter or by continuous casting the melted alloy elements into rods with a small diameter; performing solution treatment after homogenization treatment and cold rolling or cold drawing in case of the ingot in the state of plates or rods with a small diameter, and performing solution treatment in case of plates or wire rods manufactured by hot rolling or extrusion; and performing ageing treatment after rolling or drawing the solution treated rods or plates in the intermediate state.
