DEVICE AND METHOD FOR TRANSMITTING AND RECEIVING DATA IN CDMA MOBILE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A device and a method for transmitting and receiving data in a CDMA(Code Division Multiple Access) mobile communication system are provided to improve the performance of a communication system by adjusting transmitting and receiving reliability of symbols or bits re-transmitted when re-transmitting data based on an HARQ(Hybrid Automatic Repeat reQuest) method. CONSTITUTION: A transmitter of a mobile communication system includes fixed reliability patterns, encodes data being transmitted through an encoder(404), and sequentially maps each encoding bit with the fixed reliability patterns for transmission to a receiver. In the transmitter, a buffer controller(412) controls the delay of the encoding bits by a predetermined delay pattern, when receiving a re-transmission request from the receiver responding to the data. A buffer delayer(410) of the transmitter stores the encoding bits from the encoder(404) by the bit, and delays and outputs the encoding bits under the control of the buffer controller(412). A modulator(414) maps the encoded bits with symbols and transmits the mapped bits to the receiver.
