PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for providing retrieval information to a wireless terminal are provided to receive input information set by a subscriber from a portal service provider, extract and store information from a site having information about a corresponding interesting field and a keyword, and offer extracted information to the wireless terminal. CONSTITUTION: A data ware house server(29) connects to a portal service provider(22) for extracting and storing information about an interesting field and a keyword set by a subscriber and providing information to the subscriber when information is requested by the subscriber. If the subscriber wants to receive information about the keyword, the data ware house server(29) transmits corresponding information to a WAP(Wireless Application Protocol) server(30). The WAP server(30) converts received information into a markup language and transmits information to a wireless terminal(33). |
