CRT FUNNEL

PURPOSE: A CRT funnel is provided to easily reduce weight of the CRT without increasing thickness of the funnel, while improving resistance against the mechanical impact. CONSTITUTION: A CRT comprises a panel where an image is projected; a funnel(30) bonded to the rear surface of the panel; and a neck(40) bonded to the apex of the funnel. The funnel has a body(32) where a plurality of protrusions(70) are formed to remove or attenuate the wave motion or crack transferred through the body of the funnel. The protrusions are formed at the inner or outer surface of the body of the funnel. Each of protrusions is formed into a semi-circular shape, and has a radius of 3mm or larger. The space between the adjacent protrusions is maintained to be matched to the radius of the protrusion.
