PURPOSE: A view finder for an image pickup device capable of automatically drawing out and an image pickup device having the same are provided to easily operate the view finder by automatically drawing out a view finder main body to the outside of the image pickup device when the image pickup device is turned on or an outer LCD is closed. CONSTITUTION: A view finder(120) for an image pickup device includes a view finder main body(30) installed to be entered in the inside of an image pickup device main body, and to be drawn out to the outside of the image pickup device main body; and a driving part(60) driving the operations of entering and drawing of the view finder main body; wherein the driving part includes a driving motor(62) fixed at the image pickup device, a pinion(66) rotated by the driving motor, and a rack installed at the view finder main body and driven by the pinion.
