HANDLING OF TEMPORARY IDENTITIES IN MOBILE TELEPHONY SYSTEMS

The invention relates to a method in a mobile telephone network by which core network nodes issue temporary identities to mobile stations. The core network nodes is arranged to store the value of the next-to-be-issued identity in a storage that will survive a fault situation. Whenever the core network node must restart after a fault situation has occurred, it will issue identities starting with said stored value.
