A nitrogenous heterocyclic derivative represented by the general formula (I) , a pharmacologically acceptable salt thereof, or a prodrug of either. These have excellent human SGLT2 inhibitory activity and are useful as a preventiv e or remedy for diseases attributable to hyperglycemia such as diabetes.
