A window assembly for garage doors (10) with hingedly mounted panels (20). T he assembly (10) includes resilient male (30) and female (40) frame members tha t are brought towards each other to sandwich the borders of the door panel (20 ) defining the window opening and the cooperatively dimensioned transparent panel (50). The male frame member (30) includes, adjacent to its peripheral inner end, a peripherally extending leg member (31) that is lockingly receiv ed within a cooperative channel notch (30) and female (51) on the transparent panel (50). The engagement of the leg member (31) to the channel member (51) permits certain deformation to be transmitter to the resilient male (30) and female (40) frame members. Fastening members (60) are used to keep the male (40) frame members securely against each other.
