PURPOSE: A television antenna is provided to achieve improved receiving sensitivity of television broadcasting signal even during migration, by elongating length of the antenna. CONSTITUTION: A television antenna comprises a rod antenna and a helical antenna(12). The rod antenna includes an insulating part(11) having a knob(11'); first to third rod parts(13,14,15) for performing radiating function for transmitting/receiving waves; and a conductive lower part(16) connected to the first rod part, and which electrically contacts a metal bushing of the helical antenna during extension of the insulating part and first to third rod parts. The insulating part is connected to the third rod part, and the insulating part and first to third rod parts are accommodated into a cylindrical housing of the helical antenna in such a manner that the insulating part and first to third rod parts are extendable/retractable from/into the housing.
