An oligomer−diminishing agent for polyester fibers with which troubles attributable to oligomers in the dyeing of a polyester fiber material or a polyester composite material which is a composite of a polyester fiber material with other fiber material are essentially eliminated without adversely influencing the dyeability. The oligomer−diminishing agent comprises at least one ester compound selected from the group consisting of esters of a propylene oxide adduct of a polyhydric alcohol with an alkyl fatty acid or alkenyl fatty acid and esters formed by the transesterification of a propylene oxide adduct of a polyhydric alcohol with a natural animal/vegetable fat containing an alkyl fatty acid and/or alkenyl fatty acid.
