The invention concerns an access ramp (5) housed in a casing (3) beneath the floor (2) of a bus perpendicular to the threshold (1) of an access door. It is extracted from the casing (3), through an opening (4) closed with a flap (42) which is retracted, by means of a control device (12) whereto the access ramp (5) is connected in a linking point (22) and to a guiding device (11). At the end of its travel, the access ramp (5) is inclined so that front end (7) rests on the ground (70), while its rear end (8) remains linked to the casing (3) and the continuity of the running surface is provided by an adjusting device (10). The extracting and return movement of the ramp is controlled from the driving compartment of the bus and enables a handicapped person using a wheelchair to board a bus by himself. |
