A method for preparing resin particles wherein a liquid comprising a polymerizable monomer is discharged into a continuous phase as a dispersed phase and subjected to mechanical vibration, to thereby break it up into droplets, and the droplets undergo polymerization without recombination, characterized in that a process or state wherein the liquid comprising a polymerizable monomer is broken up into droplets is observed and the result of the observation is fed back to the conditions of the discharge of the liquid comprising a polymerizable monomer and of the above mechanical vibration; resin particles prepared by the method; and an apparatus for preparing the resin particles. The above resin particles have uniform particle diameters and thus can be suitably used in many application fields such as chemicals, medical articles and electronic materials.
