A TGF−ß superfamily production/secretion promoter containing a compound which is represented by the formula (I) (wherein R1 represents halogeno, an optionally substituted heterocyclic group, optionally substituted hydroxy, optionally substituted thiol, or optionally substituted amino; A represents optionally substituted acyl, an optionally substituted heterocyclic group, optionally substituted hydroxy, or optionally esterified or amidated carboxyl; B represents an optionally substituted aromatic group; X represents oxygen, sulfur, or optionally substituted nitrogen; and Y represents a divalent hydrocarbon group or heterocyclic group) or containing a salt or prodrug of the compound. The promoter is useful as a preventive/remedy for autonomic neuropathy, bladder function disorders, auditory disorders, bone diseases, etc.
