A process for producing a polymeric fluorescent material, characterized by comprising the step of treating with an acid a polymeric fluorescent material which fluoresces in a solid state and has a number−average molecular weight of 1x10<sp>4</sp> to 1x10<sp>8</sp> in terms of polystyrene; a process for producing a polymeric fluorescent material, characterized by comprising the step of treating with an acid a polymeric fluorescent material which fluoresces in a solid state and has a number−average molecular weight of 1x10<sp>4</sp> to 1x10<sp>8</sp> in terms of polystyrene and the step of treating it with an alkali; and a process for producing a polymeric fluorescent material, characterized by comprising the step of treating with an acid a polymeric fluorescent material which fluoresces in a solid state and has a number−average molecular weight of 1x10<sp>4</sp> to 1x10<sp>8</sp> in terms of polystyrene, the step of treating it with an alkali, and the step of finally treating it with a substance containing neither an acid nor an alkali. |
