A karaoke system comprises: a server 4; user terminal 2; and karaoke terminal 3 connected to a communications network such as the Internet. A user may register their favourite songs along with moving background information in advance of a performance using the user terminal which is connected to the server via the internet. The karaoke server has a password table 41 associated with a user ID number to allow the user terminal to log into the karaoke server. The user may then travel to a karaoke shop which houses the karaoke terminal 3 and their song and picture information may be downloaded from the server 3 to the karaoke terminal. This arrangement reduces the time taken to select a song and associated background pictures. |
