<p>Cpds. are of formula (I) : (where R is -C6H4Y or thienyl; Y is H, Cl, Br, F, CF3, amino, nitro, hydroxyl, alkyl or alkoxy (max C3); R1 is : Z is H or alkyl (max C3); Q is alkyl (max C3); X is -NH2 or -OH) or their pharmaceutically acceptable salts. (I) are antibiotics of high activity and stability. They are stable not only to liver enzymes but also to cephalosporinases, formed by Gram-negative bacteria. The 3-acetoxy group of 7-ACA is replaced by a 1-alkyl-1.2.3.4-tetrazole 5-thiol or a 1.3.4-thiadiazole 5-thiol, followed by acylation of the 7-amino group with the required hydroxy- or aminoacetic acid.</p> |
