METHODS OF INDUCING A CYTOTOXIC IMMUNE RESPONSE AND RECOMBINANT SIMIAN ADENOVIRUS COMPOSITIONS USEFUL THEREIN

A method of inducing a CD8+ T response against a selected molecule by delivering the molecule via a recombinant simian adenovirus is provided. Also provided are methods of inducing interferon- alpha and interferon- beta by delivering a recombinant simian adenovirus to a subject. The methods and compositions of the invention are particularly well suited for prophylaxis and treatment of infections with human immunodeficiency virus and human papilloma virus, among others, and cancer therapy.
