The invention relates to a dielectric heating system that can be used to at least double the power density applied to the treated product without risk of electric arcs. Said invention is particularly suitable for treating compounds that absorb few electromagnetic waves (low dielectric constants). In particular, it is possible to treat the following statically or dynamically: fatty substances, such as oils, butters, waxes and fats (refining, hydrolysis, transesterification, interestérification, etc.), the derivatives thereof (esterification, polymerisation, alcoholysis, ethoxylation, hydrogenation, etc.); hydrocarbons; aromatic compounds. Said system can be used advantageously on polar or polarised compounds as the power absorbed can be increased significantly with large production gains. In particular, the following can be treated statically or dynamically: fatty and non-fatty alcohols (oleic alcohol, glycol, glyerol, mannitol, sorbitol, polyglycerols, vitamins, etc.), carboxylic acids, amines and similar. |
